On December 15th me and my family left to go to Nuwaraeliya. We stayed there for about three days. On the way to Nuwaraeliya we visted an elephant orphanage named Pinnawala.  Then we went to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. To find more info about Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and Pinnawala I have a page on both places. In Nuwaraeliy it was almost as cold as Cananda. It was raining so hard the three days that we were there. Nuwaraeliya is a city, in the hill country of Sri Lanka. Nuwaraeliya means “city on the plain (table land)” or “city of light”. The city is overlooked by Pidurutalagala, the tallest mountain in Sri Lanka. Specially during the month of April, there are lots of flowers, pony races, go cart races and auto rally.  In Nuwaraela the temp risies up to 3°C at night. Nuwaraliya is also known as ‘Little’ England’. It was very boring there because it rained the whole time we were there. On the way home we visted two tea factores in Nuwaraliya.
